Privacy Policy
Short version: your Terraform code stays in your browser. We don’t have accounts and we never receive your files. We use Google Analytics to count visits.
Your Terraform files
Files you open, drop or paste into TF Diagrams are read and parsed by your browser. They are not sent to us or to any server we operate. Diagrams and graphs are all computed on your device.
Data stored in your browser
To pick up where you left off, the app saves a few things in your browser’s local storage: the files you last loaded (when they’re small enough), your theme and your view settings such as the selected view and whether the sidebar is open. This data never leaves your device. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, we store your name, email address and message so we can read it and reply. It’s kept in our database, hosted by Supabase, and used for nothing else. To have a message deleted, ask through the same form.
Hosting
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages may record standard request information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, for security and to keep the service running. We don’t use this to identify you or to build profiles.
Analytics and cookies
The website and the app use Google Analytics to understand how they are found and used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, the device and browser type, and which features are used. It never sees your Terraform files or their contents. We don’t use advertising, and Google Analytics advertising features are turned off.
Google Analytics sets its cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to recognise returning visits. To block them, use your browser’s cookie settings or a tracker blocker, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Third-party links
The “Buy me a coffee” button links to Ko-fi. If you follow it, Ko-fi’s own privacy policy applies to anything you do there.
Children
TF Diagrams isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
